Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 September 2026
This policy explains what MilkShaker Inc. collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers themilkshaker.com and our email list.
1. The short version
We collect an email address if you give us one, and anonymous statistics about which pages get read. We use them to send you the thing you asked for and to understand what is useful. We do not sell your details to anyone, and you can have them deleted by asking.
2. What we collect
If you join the list
The form is provided by LaunchList and, as currently configured, asks for your first and last name, email address, city and state, and optionally a phone number. It also asks whether the product is for you or for a friend, and how you heard about us. It is an embedded frame served by LaunchList rather than by us, so what you type into it goes to them and they hold the list on our behalf. Their handling of it is governed by their own terms and privacy policy.
The phone number is so we can reach you about your order at launch. It is optional, it is not used for marketing calls or messages, and we do not sell it. The city and state tell us where the list is, which is how we plan shipping and sizing.
The form does not ask for a street address. Once the offer period closes we will email the people who are getting a welcome kit to ask for a delivery address, and use it for that one delivery. We do not ask for it up front, and we do not ask the people who are not getting one.
Because the list has a referral programme, LaunchList also records who referred whom and how many referrals each person has, so that the discount can be worked out. If we ever publish a referrers’ leaderboard we will show first names or initials only, and we will tell the list before we turn it on. If you would rather not appear on one, email us and we will exclude you.
If you reach a page we no longer link to
A few older pages remain reachable by direct link and still have working forms on them, delivered by a different service, FormSubmit, which emails the submission to us. One collects name, email and whether you would reserve the product at a given price. A follow-up page also asks how a price feels to you and whether you have had mastitis or clogged ducts before, which is health information. We mention it because it is still collectable, not because we are asking for it.
When you browse
We use GoatCounter for analytics. It records which pages are viewed, roughly which country from, and which site referred you. It sets no tracking cookies and does not follow you between sites.
If you arrive by someone’s referral link, your browser stores their referral code for two days so that the credit survives moving between pages, closing the tab, and coming back the next day. It is kept in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, it holds nothing about you, and it is discarded automatically once the two days are up. Clearing your browser storage removes it, and if you do that before signing up the referral simply will not be counted.
3. Health information
Some of what people choose to tell us is health information. We are not a healthcare provider, we do not bill insurance, and we are not a HIPAA covered entity, so HIPAA does not apply to anything you send us. The protections you would expect from a doctor’s office do not automatically apply here.
What does apply: we use it only to reply to you, we do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we share it only with the services in section 5. Email is also not an encrypted channel, so please bear that in mind before writing something sensitive.
4. Why we collect it
- To send the list emails you asked for.
- To answer emails you send us.
- To see which pages are useful, in aggregate.
We do not use your details for advertising and we do not build profiles on people. Joining the list does not sign you up to anything else.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with the services that make the site work:
- LaunchList — runs the signup form and holds the waitlist.
- FormSubmit — delivers submissions from the older unlinked pages to our inbox.
- GoatCounter — aggregate analytics.
- GitHub Pages — hosts this site and, like any host, sees request logs.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
6. How long we keep it
We keep list subscriptions, and the referral counts attached to them, until you unsubscribe or the programme ends. They are held with LaunchList. Emails you send us, and submissions from the older pages, are kept for up to three years and deleted sooner if you ask.
7. What you can ask us to do
Email hello@themilkshaker.com and we will:
- tell you what we hold about you;
- correct anything wrong;
- delete it, unless we are required to keep it;
- take you off the list, though the unsubscribe link is faster.
We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front, and we will not treat you differently for exercising any of this.
8. Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.
9. Where we operate
We are based in the United States, and anything you send us is processed there.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. If a change materially affects people on the list, we will say so in a list email.
